Learn practical instructions on how to solve our daily problems, overcome stress and keep a positive, peaceful mind through Modern Buddhism and meditation. Learn how to integrate mindfulness and meditation techniques in your daily life.
Those evening classes are given as a series, but can also be taken individually. Feel free to drop in on a class-by-class basis.

If you wish to go deeper in your understanding and practice, you can join the Foundation Programme (FP). FP is a fully structured study programme designed by Venerable Geshe-la to enhance our understanding, experience, and practice of meditation, giving us great confidence to solve all our problems and experience deep and lasting happiness. You can join at any time and receive great benefit from the teachings of Modern Buddhism. The study class is open to everyone.

Twice a Month Sunday Mornings
This free public class held in our world peace temple is open to everyone and provides an opportunity to experience the peace of meditation and learn practical tools to solve our daily problems through the application of Buddha’s timeless advice. The teachings will be based on the inspiring book “Transform Your Life” written by the contemporary meditation master and founder of Leicester KMC, Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche.

Nagarjuna Kadampa Meditation Centre (KMC) Leicester, was established to provide people in Leicester and the surrounding areas with the opportunity to learn how to meditate and practice Buddha’s teachings.
It is a special place of tranquillity, relaxation, reflection and friendship. It is home to an international community who share a similar wish to make their lives meaningful by finding lasting peace and happiness from within and helping others to do the same.
Our Centre is open to the public and offers a variety of meditation classes from beginner’s classes on Monday evening to our in-depth classes on Wednesdays. We also have lunchtime classes and regular monthly events.
There is something for everyone – for both beginners and more experienced meditators alike.
Kadam Chris Heyes
Kadam Chris Heyes is the Resident Teacher at Nagarjuna Leicester KMC. He is a dedicated student of Geshe Kelsang Gyatso and has been studying and practising Kadampa Buddhism for over 27 years.
Kadam Chris is married with two children and shows by example how to integrate meditation into a busy family life. His teachings are always practical and easy to apply to everyday life.
Through his gentle and joyful approach and his peaceful example, he has helped many people find true happiness in their hearts. Kadam Chris is also a renowned Kadampa Buddhist artist.

World Peace Café Leicester
