Resident Teacher
Kadam Chris Heyes is the Resident Teacher of Nagarjuna Kadampa Meditation Centre in Leicester. He is a dedicated student of Geshe Kelsang Gyatso and has been studying and practising Kadampa Buddhism for over 27 years.
Kadam Chris teachings are always practical and easy to apply to everyday life. Through his gentle and joyful approach and his peaceful example, he has helped many people find true happiness in their hearts.
About Nagarjuna Kadampa Meditation Center Leicester
Located in the heart of Leicester, Nagarjuna Kadampa Meditation Center provides meditation classes and events and is home to the World Peace Cafe.
We have daily lunchtime classes from Mondays to Fridays 12.30pm – 1.00pm, so if you are shopping or working in town, why not drop-in for a relaxing meditation.
We offer evening drop-in classes on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Sunday am (Free class once a month) Sunday pm, which is suitable for all, we also so have Saturday morning half-day courses, perfect introductory courses for beginners, or new to meditation. We also have day courses and our very popular Meditation and Meal evenings.
We also have Foundation Programme on Wednesday evenings which is a special meditation and study group for those wishing to deepen their understanding of Buddha’s teachings.
Our vegetarian World Peace Cafe is open from Mondays – Saturdays from 10.30am, our cafe is run by volunteers from all over the world. Our Cafe is closed the first Monday of each month.
