Learn simple meditation techniques to build the inner strength and confidence to help overcome stress, anxiety and other painful states of mind. By applying Buddha’s wisdom advice, learn how to maintain a positive, peaceful mind in the face of life’s challenges and difficulties. Each session is self-contained and consists of guided meditations and a short talk with the opportunity to ask questions afterwards.

Directions to Oadby classes at Beauchamp College:
Where Coombe Rise meets Ridge Way, you’ll see some small gates with a green sign. Go through the gates, then go all the way down to the end and turn right. You’ll see a circular building to your right. Follow the road round to your right until you see a car park where parking is available. The building for the classes is to the left of the astro-turf football pitch. Enter the building, walk straight ahead, and you’ll see a green door on your left that leads to the room where the classes are held.
You do not have to be a Buddhist to benefit from this course; our courses are designed to suit modern life. No previous experience or special clothing is required. Each course consists of a combination of guided meditations and practical teachings on how to apply the ancient teachings of Buddha to a busy modern life. This wisdom is derived from Modern Buddhism presented by our founder, Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, and is easy to understand and practice. You will learn the methods to let go of stress, worry and anxiety and improve the quality of your life and mental wellbeing by developing ways of maintaining inner peace and happiness regardless of life’s challenges.
No special clothing is required. Wheelchair accessible entrance. Seating is available on chairs or cushions.
