About the course:
The purpose of meditation is to make our mind calm and peaceful. If our mind is peaceful, we shall be free from worries and mental discomfort and so we shall experience true happiness. On this half day course, we will learn what meditation is and how to practise it. If you have always wanted to find out about meditation, or if you have started and need advice on reducing distractions then this is the course for you! The teacher will explain how to introduce meditation into your daily life and how to increase concentration and mindfulness during meditation.
Everyone is welcome, no previous experience necessary.

You do not have to be a Buddhist to benefit from this course, our courses are designed to suit modern life living. No previous experience nor special clothing is required. Each course consists of a combination of guided meditations and practical teachings on how to apply the ancient teachings of Buddha to a busy modern life. This wisdom is derived from Modern Buddhism presented by our founder Geshe Kelsang Gyatso and is easy to understand and practice. You will learn the methods to let go of stress, worry and anxiety and improve the quality of your life and mental wellbeing by developing ways of maintaining inner peace and happiness regardless of life’s challenges.
No special clothing required, wheelchair accessible entrance, seating on chairs or cushions.
