Volunteering at Nagarjuna Kadampa Meditation Centre
Come for a Working Visit
If you would like the opportunity to experience what it is like to live in a Buddhist community, why not come for a working holiday? A working holiday is an exchange where by for some of your time (32.5 hours per week) we provide you with the following;
- Free accommodation (Same sex dormitory, which includes bedding and towels)
- Free food (Includes 3 standard meals per day)
- Free access to our meditation classes, courses and retreats
Helping at our World Peace Cafe
We will train you up as a Barista! The café is a big part of our meditation centre as it is sometimes peoples first insight into a Buddhist community. We therefore try our best to make this space as welcoming as possible. The café is a fun environment where you will be trained in how to prepare a wide range of food and drinks. Do not worry if you have no experience as we provide full training and promise that by the time you leave, you will have learned some great skills that you can go on to use in your life.
As well as the World Peace Café, help is also needed in other parts of our centre. Some of this work can include;
- Helping to clean the centre
- Setting up the meditation room
- Cooking in the main kitchen
- Helping with reception
- General office work
We accept volunteers from all over the world, therefore this is a great opportunity to meet lots of different people from different cultures.
If you would like to register for this experience, please fill out the application form below and someone from our team will contact you shortly.
