Attending in-person:

At Nagarjuna Kadampa Meditation Centre Leicester
17 Guildhall Lane, LE1 5FQ, Leicester (just behind Leicester Cathedral, 2min walk from the Clock Tower)

We only have limited places available for in-person classes, so advance booking is recommended. Classes take place in our main meditation room with spaced seating. We recommend you to wear your mask in the building, hand sanitisers are provided at the entrance. To keep everyone safe we are following government guidelines on COVID safety for the places of worship.

Parking in the city:
Parking in the city centre: Highcross Rooftop Car Park ( 2min walk) , Haymarket Shopping Centre ( 5min walk

Attending online:
When you book, you will receive a confirmation email containing links to watch the teachings; remember to check your junk mail folder if you don’t see this email right away, and contact us if necessary at support@meditateinleicester.org. Keep your confirmation email, and follow the links it contains when it is time for the teachings. The videos are available live and for the following 5 days for you to catch up.

Advice for online classes:
Please find a comfortable and quiet place that you consider special in your home or room. Prepare yourself before the class begins by turning off your phone, avoiding distractions, making sure you can focus on the teaching for its duration. Have a notebook to write down some of the key points of the teaching that you want to remember and integrate in your life. Enjoy!

You do not have to be a Buddhist to benefit from this course, our courses are designed to suit modern life living. No previous experience nor special clothing is required. Each course consists of a combination of guided meditations and practical teachings on how to apply the ancient teachings of Buddha to a busy modern life. This wisdom is derived from Modern Buddhism presented by our founder Geshe Kelsang Gyatso and is easy to understand and practice. You will learn the methods to let go of stress, worry and anxiety and improve the quality of your life and mental wellbeing by developing ways of maintaining inner peace and happiness regardless of life’s challenges.
