About the course:
This class will introduce guided meditations on the stages of the spiritual path. Through transforming our mind by looking into the mirror of Dharma, we will learn to identify the causes of our unhappiness and problems and find the causes of real happiness and peace.
By training in wisdom and compassion we will be able to transform our life from the state of dissatisfaction into one of meaning, joy and fulfillment.
We will learn how to let go of negative deluded states of mind and replace them with virtue, positive ones. By doing this we can solve our daily problems, find lasting freedom, and gain the ability to help all living beings.
Kadam Chris Heyes will explain principal aspects of Buddhist Meditation, how to gain deep experience of meditation, and use it in our daily lives to make ourselves happy regardless of life’s challenges.

We only have limited places available for in-person classes, so advance booking is recommended. Classes take place in our main meditation room with spaced seating. We recommend you to wear your mask in the building, hand sanitisers are provided at the entrance. To keep everyone safe we are following government guidelines on COVID safety for the places of worship.

You do not have to be a Buddhist to benefit from this course, our courses are designed to suit modern life living. No previous experience nor special clothing is required. Each course consists of a combination of guided meditations and practical teachings on how to apply the ancient teachings of Buddha to a busy modern life. This wisdom is derived from Modern Buddhism presented by our founder Geshe Kelsang Gyatso and is easy to understand and practice. You will learn the methods to let go of stress, worry and anxiety and improve the quality of your life and mental wellbeing by developing ways of maintaining inner peace and happiness regardless of life’s challenges.
No special clothing required, wheelchair accessible entrance, seating on chairs or cushions.
