Over this six week course Kadam Chris will be giving practical instructions and guided meditations on how to develop a clear peaceful mind that will lead us to a happy life. Only by developing a peaceful mind can we be free from negativity and suffering and come to enjoy real happiness. The purpose of meditation is to make our mind peaceful. Through training in meditation we will discover our own extraordinary potential for limitless happiness and freedom. Come and enjoy guided meditations that will give us the happiness and freedom we seek. By developing a good heart of compassion and relying upon wisdom we can solve both our own and others problems and come to enjoy a meaningful life.
What are our Evening Meditation & Modern Buddhism Classes?
Our evening classes are organised as short courses, covering a wide range of engaging topics. You can attend the whole course or drop in whenever you wish, as each class is self- contained.
Each session includes a guided meditation and practical teaching on how to apply the ancient teachings of Buddha to a busy modern life.
Kadam Chris Heyes is the Resident Teacher at Nagarjuna KMC. He has been studying and practising Kadampa Buddhism for 27 years. His teachings are practical and easy to apply to everyday life. Through his gentle and joyful approach and through his example, he has been helping many people find true happiness (in their hearts).
