Lamrim is a powerful series of practical meditations that lead us along the entire path to enlightenment.
This Retreat is open to everyone. Feel free to come on any session that suits you as each meditation is self contained.
Lamrim means the stages of the path to enlightenment. It is a special set of instructions that includes all the essential teachings of Buddha, presented in structured way. These 21 meditations are a step-by-step presentation of all of Buddha’s teachings. By gaining familiarity with these practices during retreat, we establish the foundation for a stable and rewarding daily meditation practice. The instructions of Lamrim can readily be applied to solving the problems of daily life.
This retreat is suitable for all levels from complete beginners to experienced meditators and all sessions will be guided by Lorraine Quinn.
During this retreat we will be exploring the meditations on the stages of the path to enlightenment that leads us to a happy and meaningful life.

What will each session consist of?
Each session will include a combination of teachings and guided meditations.
Do I need to bring anything or wear anything special?
No. You can choose to sit on a chair or cushions if you prefer to sit cross-legged. You don’t need to bring anything else with you, but some people like to take notes during the session, so feel free to bring paper and pen.
What if I’m new to this?
Everyone is welcome to participate and will benefit both new and experienced people alike. Our reception staff will happily recommend some follow-on reading or classes after the course if you are interested.
