About the event
Every day we encounter challenging situations, but we do not need to allow them to disturb our peace of mind. If we learn to let go of our frustration & difficulties , and respond with patience, we can remain happy, regardless.
The day will consist of teachings, guided meditations, a vegetarian lunch and time to relax and enjoy the World Peace Café.
Everybody is welcome, and the day will be suitable for both newcomers and those with some experience to meditation.
Pet Finden is a very qualified Kadampa Teacher, with over twenty years of experience. She teaches Foundation Programme at Kadampa Meditation Centre in Kelmarsh and stands in for Kadam Bridget Heyes, the UK National Teaching, teaching the Teacher Training programme. She is also a Buddhist Chaplin for both centres.
She has been studying and teaching meditation & mindfulness classes for over twenty years drawing on her life experiences and her work as chaplain. Pet’s caring nature shows through her teachings style and she brings great warmth and depth to her teachings.
We are very lucky to have her come over and teach, she is a very good friend to us here at Leicester and is a very good example of a modern day Kadampa.
