The Art of Forgiveness

If we develop a deep self-confidence and a compassionate mind towards others we will not only be able to remain at peace when harmed or criticised by them, but also be able to free ourself from resentment and anger. On this day course we will learn how to develop this strong, courageous mind and the art of forgiving ourself.

The day will consist of teachings, guided meditations, a vegetarian lunch and time to relax and enjoy the World Peace Café.

Everybody is welcome, and the day will be suitable for both newcomers and those with some experience to meditation.

The Teacher

Kelsang Chokga is a Buddhist nun and the Resident Teacher at Ratnasambhava Buddhist Centre in Leeds. She has been a student of  Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso for over 20 years.  Her teachings are given in a practical and clear manner and leave the listeners with something beneficial that they can take away and use in their daily lives.

About Kadampa Meditation Centre Leicester

Nagarjuna Kadampa Meditation Centre (KMC) is a modern non-traditional Buddhist Temple in the heart of Leicester. The centre offers a special place of tranquillity, relaxation, reflection and friendship and is a doorway to inner peace. It offers a year-round programme of courses and classes for all levels, from basic meditation courses to special meditation study groups and retreats. You do not have to be a Buddhist to attend or to benefit from any of these.

Our Classes and Events

We have daily Lunchtime classes from Mondays to Fridays 12.30pm – 1.00pm

We offer evening drop-in classes on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, & Sundays, which are suitable for all. We also have a free class once a month on a Sunday morning.

On Wednesday evenings we have our Foundation Programme, which is a special meditation and study group for those wishing to deepen their understanding of Buddha’s teachings.

Once a month we have half-day and full-day-courses.
